Totally custom-made for me by the great luthier Mike Kinal from Vancouver.

It's a 5 string fretted bass, alder body, flame maple top, 5-piece maple neck with pau ferro fingerboard. The pickups are Bartolini with a Bartolini 3-band preamp, 18 volts with mid-frequency switch, serie/parallel/single coil for the bridge pickup and active/passive switch. There's also an "all control bypass" switch to take the preamp out of the signal path. I strung it with DR Lo-Riders.

This bass is extremely versatile, and the neck is such a joy to play! It also records extremely well.
